The vulture from Schleich® WILD LIFE is an adult griffon vulture. It lives throughout Europe, North Africa and Asia. The bird of prey prefers open landscapes as well as rocky cliffs and gorges as a habitat. It has reddish-brown plumage, black-gray wings, an almost featherless neck and a ruff made of white down. Vultures are particularly important for the ecosystem. They eat dead animals that could otherwise spread disease.
