The proboscis monkey from Schleich® WILD LIFE is a species of primate that lives in the rain and mangrove forests of the Asian island of Borneo. The male animals have a conspicuous large nose that can be up to 10 cm long. But they can't smell particularly well with it. Researchers believe it serves to impress females. Proboscis monkeys are diurnal mammals, live in small groups and feed on leaves and fruits.
