Pintos have unique, beautiful coat markings that resemble horses give even more personality. Nevertheless, the pintos do not form any own race. They are a color breed that occurs in almost all breeds can be found. The fur patterns are divided into “Overo” and “Tobiano.” Overos have colored fur with white spots. Also their head is often completely white. It's called a so-called "Lantern". Tobianos, on the other hand, have white fur with colored ones checks. The legs and back usually remain white. “Pinto” is Spanish and means something like “painted”.
